The Norwegian Joy cruise ship is one of the most innovative vessels in the fleet of Norwegian Cruise Line. Delivered in 2017 by Meyer Werft in Germany, she entered service in June that year and was initially tailored for the Chinese cruise market before being extensively refurbished in 2019 for North American itineraries. Norwegian Joy is part of the Breakaway Plus Class and is a sister ship to Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore.

At approximately 167,700 gross tonnes and carrying around 3,800 guests at double occupancy, the ship blends large-scale entertainment with refined spaces such as a forward-facing Observation Lounge that is particularly popular on Alaska sailings. Today, the NCL Joy cruise ship operates itineraries across Alaska, the Caribbean, Bermuda, the Mexican Riviera and the Panama Canal, depending on the season.
