The Retreat, alfresco spa terrace has it all. A premium VIP open-air deck area, where you can find cold flannels, chilled drinks and snacks, and alfresco spa treatments in the privacy of shaded cabanas. Numbers are limited, so the atmosphere is serene and sophisticated with luxurious surroundings including day beds, private cabanas (to enjoy a range of spa treatments) and complimentary smoothies or fruit platters on offer. With panoramic ocean views, The Retreat is the height of grown-up sophistication and indulgence.

With superb ocean views and relaxing cream décor, the tranquil Oasis Spa is the perfect place to relax and be pampered. In the treatment rooms you can enjoy private ocean views as you succumb to a relaxing massage.

Also linked to the Oasis Spa is the hydrotherapy pool, which offers a hydromassage; a type of treatment that increases circulation, eases tension and aids restful sleep. Flooded with light via a pyramid skylight, the hydropool lies in the centre of several tiled columns. Alternatively passengers can head for Arcadia's thermal suite on the starboard side where they'll find three steam rooms, a sauna and a heated swimming pool.

What can you expect poolside?

Our poolside experience offers something for everyone. You can enjoy refreshing drinks from the swim-up bar on Arvia or the poolside bars on our other ships, and savour delicious bites from grills, pizzerias and ice cream parlours. Relax on loungers or in cabanas while soaking up the sun. Catch a movie on the poolside big screens on Arvia and Azura, day or night, and enjoy live music or a poolside quizacross the fleet. And even if the weather doesn't play ball, some of our ships have retractable roofs to keep the poolside fun going.

• Laguna pool (Lido deck): The biggest pool has a lively atmosphere, two whirlpool spas and plenty of poolside refreshments.
• Beachcomber pool (Lido deck): A more relaxed alternative with a retractable roof, two whirlpool spas and nearby poolside refreshments.
• Terrace pool (Riviera Deck): Located at the back of the ship, it provides stunning views while you swim.
• Plunge pool (Sun deck): A dedicated pool for youngsters located near the children's club at the ship's rear.

Running tracks - Stay fit while at sea. We have dedicated jogging and running tracks on Arvia and Iona for you to break a sweat. We also have designated walking and jogging areas on our other ships. Lace up your trainers and explore stunning sea views while maintaining your fitness routine. Check your daily Horizon programme for specific times and locations.

The Reef is the place for children of all ages to join activity programmes, play games and make friends. Staffed by a crew of enthusiastic Reef rangers, the clubs offer a wide range of age-specific entertainment.

Splashers - Let children aged 2-4 have a ball at soft play and the Lego® pits, or get them involved in our structured activity programme monitored by our enthusiastic Youth team. Pre-registration is essential.

Surfers - Children aged 5-8 can enjoy our structured activity programme, or play freely on games consoles, Lego® pits, soft play and more. Little performers will love the stage, while outdoor adventurers will love the climbing wall, pirate ship and sports area. Pre-registration is essential.

Scubas - Looking to up the fun with friends? Children aged 9-12 can kick back as they like it. With games consoles, an arcade of the hottest games, the chance to learn to DJ, Lego® pits and a host of outdoor games to play in the sports area, you won’t see them till supper time. Pre-registration is essential.

The Night Nursery can help you enjoy your evenings safe in the knowledge that your little ones are asleep in good hands. It operates each night, so your children can dream sweet dreams in the quiet area and we’ll contact you if they wake up. While your child is in safe hands, you can enjoy our extraordinary dining and evening entertainment.
